The Intelligence Bureau (IB) under the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) has released the official IB MTS (General) Recruitment 2025 Notification for 362 vacancies across various Subsidiary Intelligence Bureaus (SIBs) across India.
Eligible candidates can apply online from 22 November 2025 to 14 December 2025.

Eligibility Criteria

Age Limit

• 18–25 years as on 14.12.2025
• Age Relaxation:
  • SC/ST: +5 years
  • OBC: +3 years
  • PwBD: 10–15 years
  • Widow/Divorced Women: Up to 35–40 years
  • Ex-servicemen: As per Govt rules

Educational Qualification

• Matriculation (10th Pass) or equivalent from a recognized board.
• Must possess a Domicile Certificate of the state applied for.

Job Profile & Pay Scale

• Pay Level-1: ₹18,000 – ₹56,900
• Special Security Allowance: 20% of basic pay
• Additional Compensation: For duty on holidays (up to 30 days)
• Service Liability: All India transfer — candidates must be willing to work anywhere in India.

IB MTS Exam Pattern 2025

Tier-I: Online Exam (100 Marks)

Objective MCQs – 1 hour – Negative marking: ¼ mark

Tier-II: Descriptive Exam (50 Marks)

• English comprehension & writing
• 150-word paragraph writing
• Qualifying in nature (20 marks required)

Selection Process

1. Tier-I Online Test
2. Tier-II Descriptive Test
3. Document Verification
4. Medical Examination
5. Final Merit based on Tier-I only (Tier-II is qualifying).

Cut-off marks for Tier-I:

• UR – 30
• OBC – 28
• SC/ST – 25
• EWS – 30

Fee includes ₹100 Exam Fee + ₹550 Processing Charges.

   • Net banking
   • UPI
   • Offline SBI challan
6. Submit the form and download the Application Copy.
