The Liquid Propulsion Systems Centre (LPSC) of the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO), under the Department of Space, has released Advertisement No. LPSC/01/2025 dated 09 August 2025.
Applications are invited for multiple posts at its units located in Valiamala (Thiruvananthapuram) and Bengaluru. These posts are temporary but likely to continue indefinitely.

Vacancies

Technical Assistant (Mechanical) – 11 vacancies
- 8 posts in Valiamala and 3 posts in Bengaluru.

Technical Assistant (Electronics) – 1 vacancy

Heavy Vehicle Driver ‘A’ – 2 vacancies

Educational Qualifications

Technical Assistants (Mechanical/Electronics): Three-year Diploma in relevant engineering discipline with First Class.
Sub Officer:
- Option 1 – Leading Fireman/DCO with six years’ experience and Sub Officer’s certificate.
- Option 2 – B.Sc in Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics with Sub Officer’s certificate and two years as Leading Fireman after the Sub Officer course.
- Must have a valid Heavy Vehicle Driving Licence and meet physical fitness standards.
Technician-B (Turner/Fitter/R&AC Mechanic): SSLC/SSC pass plus ITI/NTC/NAC in relevant trade from NCVT.
Heavy Vehicle Driver ‘A’: SSLC/SSC pass plus five years’ driving experience (minimum three years as Heavy Vehicle Driver and the rest as LMV driver). Must have a valid HVD licence and Public Service Badge.
Light Vehicle Driver ‘A’: SSLC/SSC pass plus three years’ experience as LVD with a valid LVD licence.

Age Limit (as on 26 August 2025)

Maximum age 35 years for General/EWS category.
OBC candidates get 3 years’ relaxation for reserved posts.
SC/ST candidates get 5 years’ relaxation for reserved posts.
Minimum age for all posts is 18 years.

Selection Process

For Technical Assistants and Technicians (Post Nos. 792, 793, 795, 796, 797):
Written test of 90 minutes with 80 objective questions and negative marking of 0.33 marks for each wrong answer, followed by a skill test on a ‘Go/No-Go’ basis.
For Sub Officer (Post No. 794):
Written test of 100 questions in 120 minutes with negative marking of 0.25 marks, followed by a Physical Efficiency Test in two stages, and then a Detailed Medical Examination.
For Drivers (Post Nos. 798, 799):
Written test of 100 questions on Motor Vehicles Act, English, Arithmetic, and General Knowledge, followed by a skill test requiring a minimum of 60% marks to qualify.
Final selection for all posts will be based only on the written test marks, among those who qualify in the skill test or PET/DME.

Application Fee

For Post Nos. 792, 793, 794: ₹750 (full refund for Female/SC/ST/PWBD/Ex-Servicemen; others get ₹500 refunded after retaining ₹250).
For Post Nos. 795–799: ₹500 (full refund for Female/SC/ST/PWBD/Ex-Servicemen; others get ₹400 refunded after retaining ₹100).
Refund is only for candidates who appear in the written test.

Registration starts on 12 August 2025 at 2:00 PM and ends on 26 August 2025 at 2:00 PM.
Application fee payment closes on 27 August 2025 at 2:00 PM.
Upload a recent photograph in JPG/JPEG format, maximum size 40 KB, with a light background and clear facial visibility.

Important Notes

Only Indian nationals can apply.
Women candidates are encouraged to apply.
Written and skill tests will be conducted in Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala.
No TA/DA for the written test; eligible outstation candidates for the skill test will get reimbursement of 2nd class train/bus fare.
