Special Notes

  • Merchant Navy Personnel with relevant competency certificates can also apply for certain technical and executive branches.
  • Commercial Pilot Licence (CPL) holders have separate eligibility for Pilot entry.
  • NCC ‘C’ Certificate holders get 5% relaxation in cutoff marks (with conditions).
  • Some candidates may be considered for Submarine Arm or Remotely Piloted Aircraft (RPA) Specialisation.

Selection Process

  1. Shortlisting based on normalized marks of qualifying degree.
  2. SSB Interview (intimation via SMS/email).
  3. Medical Examination as per Navy standards.
  4. Final Merit List based on SSB marks & medical fitness.

Training & Service

  • Rank on joining: Sub Lieutenant.
  • Training location: INA, Ezhimala.
  • Tenure: 12 years SSC, extendable by 2 years.
  • Pay: Approx. ₹1,10,000 per month + allowances.
  • Probation: 2 years (3 years for SSC-NAIC).
