Eligibility Criteria

Educational Qualification:

  • Level-7 (₹44,900 – ₹1,42,400): Assistant Section Officer, Inspector of Income Tax, etc.
  • Level-6 (₹35,400 – ₹1,12,400): Executive Assistant, Sub-Inspector, etc.
  • Level-5 and 4 (₹29,200 – ₹81,100): Auditors, Accountants, Tax Assistants, etc.

The final post allotment depends on merit, preferences, and medical/physical standards.

Exam Pattern

Tier-I (CBT) – Qualifying in Nature

  • Duration: 1 hour
  • Subjects: General Intelligence, General Awareness, Quantitative Aptitude, English Comprehension
  • Negative Marking: 0.50 per wrong answer

Tier-II (CBT) – Merit Based

  • Paper I (Compulsory): Math, Reasoning, English, General Awareness, Computer Knowledge, Data Entry Speed Test
  • Paper II (Only for JSO/Statistical Investigator): Statistics

Note: Higher standards are applied for posts with computer proficiency requirements.


Application Fee

  • General/OBC/EWS: ₹100
  • SC/ST/PwBD/Women/ESM: No fee
