The Kerala Public Service Commission (KPSC) has released the official notification Category No. 211/2025 for the post of Beat Forest Officer in the Forest and Wildlife Department. Applications are invited through Direct Recruitment (District-wise), and candidates must apply online via the official PSC website after completing One Time Registration.

- Scale of Pay: ₹27,900 – ₹63,700/-
- Method of Appointment: Direct Recruitment (70% quota reserved)
- Vacancy: District-wise anticipated vacancies in all 14 districts of Kerala.
Note:
- Differently abled candidates are not eligible.
- Candidates can apply for only one district.
- Those already holding this post in any district are ineligible to reapply for the same post.
2. Age Limit
- General: 19–30 years (Born between 02.01.1995 and 01.01.2006 – both dates inclusive)
- OBC/SC/ST: Age relaxation as per PSC rules.
- Maximum age limit: Shall not exceed 50 years under any circumstances.
3. Educational Qualification
- Mandatory: Pass in Plus Two (Higher Secondary) or equivalent qualification recognized by the Government of Kerala or India.
- Equivalent/Higher qualifications will also be accepted if officially declared as such.
4. Physical Standards
A. Male Candidates
- Height: Minimum 168 cm (SC/ST – 160 cm)
- Chest: Minimum 81 cm with 5 cm expansion.
Physical Efficiency Test (Qualify in 5 out of 8 events – One Star Standard for Men)
- 100m run – 14 sec
- High Jump – 132.2 cm
- Long Jump – 457.2 cm
- Shot Put (7.264 kg) – 609.6 cm
- Cricket Ball Throw – 6096 cm
- Rope Climbing (hands only) – 365.8 cm
- Pull-ups – 8 times
- 1500m run – 5 min 44 sec
Endurance Test: 2 km run in 13 minutes.
B. Female Candidates
- Height: Minimum 157 cm (SC/ST – 150 cm)
Physical Efficiency Test (Qualify in 5 out of 9 events – One Star Standard for Women)
- 100m run – 17 sec
- High Jump – 106 cm
- Long Jump – 305 cm
- Shot Put (4 kg) – 400 cm
- 200m run – 36 sec
- Throw Ball – 1400 cm
- Shuttle Race (4×25m) – 26 sec
- Pull-ups – 8 times
- Skipping (1 min) – 80 times
Endurance Test: 2 km run in 15 minutes.
5. Medical Standards
Candidates must have:
- Perfect hearing
- Distant vision: 6/6 (both eyes), Near vision: 0.5 Snellen
- Normal colour vision, no night blindness
- Free from physical deformities like knock-knee, flat foot, varicose veins, bow legs, defective speech, etc.
A Medical Certificate from a Government Medical Officer (not below Assistant Surgeon/Junior Consultant) must be produced at the time of PET/Endurance Test.
6. Training & Probation
- Selected candidates must undergo 1-year training in a forest training school.
- Probation: 2 years on duty within 3 years of service.
7. Weightage Marks
- NCC Certificates: A – 2%, B – 3%, C – 5%
- Student Police Cadet Certificate: As per G.O.(MS) No.06/2025/P&RD

- Login → Select Post → Click “Apply Now”
- Upload a recent photograph (taken within last 6 months) with name & date printed at the bottom.
- No application fee.
- Ensure all details in the profile are correct before submission.
If written/OMR/online test is conducted, candidates must confirm their willingness to write the exam in their PSC profile within the specified period to download the Admission Ticket.

- Caste/community claimed must match the SSLC record; otherwise, Gazette notification & community certificate must be produced.
