The Kerala Public Service Commission (KPSC) has invited applications from qualified women candidates for the post of Woman Fire & Rescue Officer (Trainee) in the Fire and Rescue Services Department. This is an excellent opportunity for women candidates who aspire to serve in uniformed services.

Note: Only women candidates are eligible to apply. Men and differently-abled candidates are not permitted to apply for this post.

Eligibility Criteria

Age Limit

18–26 years (Candidates born between 02.01.1999 and 01.01.2007 are eligible).
Usual age relaxation is applicable for OBC/SC/ST candidates.

Educational Qualification

Pass in Plus Two or equivalent.
Preference: Diploma in Computer Application.

Physical Standards

General Candidates

Height (barefoot): 152 cm

SC/ST Candidates

Height (barefoot): 150 cm

Additional Requirements:

Swimming Proficiency (50m swim in 2 min 15 sec + 2 min floating test).
Visual Standards: 6/6 distant vision & 0.5 near vision in both eyes (without glasses).
Must pass Physical Efficiency Test (qualify in 5 out of 8 events, including running, long jump, high jump, shot put, etc.).

Selection & Training

Method of Appointment: Direct Recruitment
Probation: 2 years on duty within 3 years.
Bond: Candidates must execute a bond to serve minimum 7 years in the department, or pay ₹50,000 if they leave earlier.
Training:
- 6 months training at the State Fire Service Training School.
- 6 months practical training at a Fire Station.
- Written & practical exams during training period.

Important Notes

Candidates can apply only to one district. Applying to multiple districts will result in disqualification.
NCC cadets, SPC certificate holders, and meritorious sports persons will get weightage marks.
Original certificates (age, qualification, community, etc.) must be produced when required.
Examination schedule & syllabus will be notified later by Kerala PSC.
