Eligibility Criteria

Educational Qualifications

Graduation from a recognized university is mandatory.
For SC/ST candidates, if sufficient graduate candidates are unavailable, those who have passed the Intermediate/Pre-University Examination may be considered to fill reserved quotas.

Age Limit

Category I (Open Market): 20-31 years (born between 02/01/1993 and 01/01/2004).
Category II (Ministerial Staff) and Category III (Constabulary Staff): Should not exceed 36 years as of 01/01/2024.
Relaxation in the upper age limit is applicable as per Kerala PSC rules.

Physical Standards

For Male Candidates:

Height: 165.10 cm (160.02 cm for SC/ST candidates).
Chest: 81.28 cm with a minimum expansion of 5.08 cm.

For Female Candidates:

Height: 160 cm (155 cm for SC/ST candidates).

Distant vision: 6/6 (both eyes).
Near vision: 0.5 (both eyes).
Candidates must be free from color blindness, squint, or any morbid eye conditions.

Selection Process

1. Physical Efficiency Test (PET)

Candidates must qualify in at least five of the following events:

For Male Candidates:

100m run (14 seconds)
High jump (132.20 cm)
Long jump (457.20 cm)
1500m run (5 minutes 44 seconds)
Rope climbing, pull-ups, and other tests

For Female Candidates:

100m run (17 seconds)
High jump (1.06 m)
Long jump (3.05 m)
Skipping (80 times in one minute)
Shuttle race, throwing events, and more

2. Written/OMR/Online Test

The syllabus and schedule for the test will be announced separately.

3. Training

Selected candidates will undergo one year of training at the Police Training College.
This is followed by 10½ months of practical training in the district.
During training, candidates will receive a stipend.
