Eligibility criteria (Key Highlights)

Educational / Experience

Tradesman: 10th class pass or equivalent + ITI certificate in specified trades (Mechanic/Diesel/Fitter/Turner/Welder/Electrician/Instrumental/Carpentry), and 2 years’ experience in engineering/automobile/ship repair organisation. Desirable: FRP lamination & repair work, first-aid/fire-fighting/industrial-safety certificate.
Seaman: 10th class pass (or equivalent) + 3 years’ experience in a sea-going mechanised vessel, with at least 2 years in helmsman/seamanship work. Desirable: “Mate of Fishing Vessel” certificate from Mercantile Marine Department.
Greaser: 10th pass or equivalent + 3 years’ experience in maintaining main and auxiliary gear on sea-going automated vessels. Desirable: engine-driver certificate of fishing vessel.
Senior Store Keeper: Maximum age 30 years (relaxable for Govt servants), 8 years’ experience in storekeeping of automobile/engineering/general stores, desirable: 12th pass or equivalent, knowledge of typing/drafting/noting in English/Hindi, certificates in fire-fighting/industrial safety/first aid.
