Coal India Limited (CIL), a Maharatna Public Sector Undertaking under the Ministry of Coal, Government of India, has announced the recruitment of Management Trainees (MTs) across various disciplines. The selection will be based on a Computer-Based Test (CBT).

Vacancy Details & Eligibility Criteria

Coal India is recruiting Management Trainees in nine disciplines, each requiring specific educational qualifications and criteria.

Discipline	Educational Qualification (Minimum 60% marks required, unless specified)
Community Development	2-year Postgraduate Degree or Diploma in Community Development, Rural Development, or Social Work (Specializing in Community Development)
Environment	First Class Degree in Environmental Engineering OR Any Engineering Degree with PG Degree/Diploma in Environmental Engineering
Finance	Qualified CA/ICWA
Legal	Graduate in Law (LLB – 3 years or 5 years) from a recognized university/institute
Marketing & Sales	Degree with 2-year MBA/PG Diploma in Marketing (Major)
Materials Management	Degree in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering + 2-year MBA/PG Diploma in Management
Personnel & HR	Graduate + 2-year PG Degree/Diploma in HR/Personnel Management/Industrial Relations/Social Work (Specialization in HR)
Security	Graduate in any discipline
Coal Preparation	B.E./B.Tech./B.Sc. (Engineering.) in Chemical/Mineral Engineering or related fields

Selection Process

The selection process includes a Computer-Based Test (CBT) with no interview. The exam structure is as follows:

- General Category: 50%
- SC/ST/OBC/PwBD: 45%
The final merit list will be based on the CBT without an interview.

Salary & Benefits

Pay Scale (E-2 Grade)	Amount
Basic Pay	₹50,000 – ₹1,60,000 per month
Training Period	1 Year
Post-Training Pay Scale	₹60,000 – ₹1,80,000 per month
